Taco Bell opens a new restaurant in Sun Plaza, reaching 18 units nationwide

Taco Bell is expanding its network in Romania with a new restaurant in the Sun Plaza shopping center in Bucharest. This is the brand’s seventh location in the capital and its 18th nationwide. The investment for this project amounted to approximately EUR 500,000.

The brand continues to be the most dynamic within the Sphera Group portfolio, recording a 13% increase in sales in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year, reaching 27.2 million lei and accounting for 6.7% of total sales. Taco Bell remains the main driver of organic growth, supported by the expansion of the network and the growing appreciation from young consumers.

“The fact that we are opening our second restaurant this year, and our first unit in Sun Plaza, shows how important proximity is in our strategy. Our presence in 10 major cities gives us visibility, but more importantly, a much clearer understanding of consumer behavior in each region. Strong results in large urban centers confirm the resilience and relevance of our business model, which is why we are accelerating development and investing in locations that bring the brand closer to local communities”, says Daniel Basalău, General Manager Taco Bell Romania.

The new restaurant is located on the first floor, in the food court area, at 391 Calea Văcărești, Sector 4. The space covers approximately 60 sqm, operates daily between 10:00 and 22:00, and is run by a team of 25 employees. Customers can dine in, order delivery through available partners, or opt for takeaway.

For a Crew Member (Kitchen Worker or Cashier) at Taco Bell Sun Plaza, the net monthly income can reach 3,600 lei starting from the third month of employment, for a full-time schedule. The package includes base salary, meal vouchers, and bonuses according to internal criteria. Previous experience is not required – the focus is on a positive attitude, motivation, and willingness to grow.

Currently, the Taco Bell network includes 18 restaurants in 10 cities: Bucharest, Brașov, Constanța, Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, Timișoara, Ploiești, Bacău, Iași and Craiova.
